The shiteth hath hiteth the faneth!

Its the time of year when all hell breaks loose at work. As private Pyle once said, "I'm in a world of shit" It seems every time I think that i am catching up a dump truck full of turds backs up and piles it on... i love it. This explains my lack of blogging the last couple of days, plus that fact that im a lazy ass on the weekends.

Tonight my beloved Cyclones play in the NIT final 4 against Rutgers. I think that we should be able to win this if they dont get shell-shocked by playing in MSG. GO CLONES!

Last fall my buddies and i made a purchase of epic proportions. We bought a bus. With a handicap lift. A bonafide "Jimmy" bus. There are 8 of us that own this jewel, and it has been pretty cool. We use it mostly for tailgating but hopefully for some more entertainment this year. Anyway this weekend I have agreed to play chauffer to 12 high school kids going to prom. I think i need to get a little hat. But i digress. So, im driving these kids around in this big ass bus with my wifes cousins husband and my best friend... should be a treat. My wifes cousin, who is going to prom is super stoked about the whole deal so it should be fun for her.... I will keep you up to date on this little adventure.

Bad start to the day

I get a phone call this morning from my wife.... "I've been in an accident". thats always what you want to hear. Luckily she is fairly ok... just a back ache now... but some stupid prick bastard illegal alien caused the whole damn thing. He was tailgating and slammed into the guy in front of him and in turn my wife had to slam on her brakes, not hitting the guy in front of her but getting rear ended in the process (insert joke here).

Now its bad enough that she got hit, but weve only had the car for like 6 months. Nicest car weve ever had. Not new but new enough. Initial inspection is only cosmetic damage but she got hit going like 50... the car that hit her is trashed... now i have to deal with insurance and trying to get the damn thing fixed and fixed right. what a pain.

At least shes ok and that is the important thing, and our daughter wasnt with her so thats a bonus as well...

Im gonna sit here and stew all day.

Screw you!

On Friday i went under the knife for the second time in 3 months to work on my shoulder. This time was to remove the 1 3/4" screw that was holding my collar bone together to my should blade. I incurred this beauty of an injury in a hotly contested game of touch football... I was the hero, knocking down the ball to save a touchdown... great play, except for the shoulder problem. At first if was one of those things that i felt kinda stupid that it happened... i have this great play in the touch football game, and all i get is a little separation. At least i could have broke my collar bone. I later found out that mine truly was the bomb! It was Grade 5 serparation, (Ac Separation)normally reserved for those in car accidents. At least its healing nicely, hope i can still play golf.

I went in thinking this was just a simple numb it and remove it. BUT NOOOOO! Full anesthesia and the whole works. At least i got to keep the screw.

So needless to say i spent the rest of the weekend on the couch, watching my hopes and dreams of winning the NCAA pool swirl down the toilet. What a jip. This really sucks, because as much as i love basketball, my pool is in the shitter and now i just dont have the desire to watch the games... maybe im just a gambling addict.

Thats all i have for now, i need to get some work done that piled up in the 1 day i was out of work.

Post St Pattys Day

Last night was the night were everyone is Irish... and likes to drink. I like to drink and I did. Not a lot but enough to cause me head to hurt and to be belching stale beer... you gotta love that taste. Not only was it St. Pattys day but the the Clones played in the 1st round of the NIT. Not real exciting, but hey you gotta support your team. The men and the women got back to back homes games last night, and both pulled it out. We put the wood to Georgia who beat the next national champ (Kentucky)twice.

Typically when i drink bottled beer the hangover isnt as bad... must have been the carbombs. Maybe im just getting old. Thats probably it. Anyway the Clones got fucked by the NIT and will have to play their second game on the the road in lovely Tallahassee Florida. It was a good run but thanks for playing. We cant win on the road.

I need to work, and try to shake this hangover.

SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus.... It is march 16 and yesterday we got 15 inches of snow... Nice wet, heavy snow. This sucks. Not only did we get snow but I slid my explorer into a curb because the parking lot hadn't been cleared off and broke, yes broke a chunk off the front rim of my car. Now I have to get a new rim. What a pain in the ass.

I wanted a little more snow to put aside my feelings for golf, but not 15 damn inches.

Now... To suck it up and apologize to any ISU fans.... sorry I put the jinx on us by guaranteeing the win against OSU. Close game, but we couldn't pull it off. Now its onto the NIT. Oh well, its more experience for our young guys. Hopefully we can get past the group of geniuses that make up the Georgia bulldogs.

Go clones, and down with the hawks!

Alive to play another day!

Go CLones!!!!!!!!

Very nice win for ISU... putting the wood to K-State while showing some intestinal fortitude by holding off a couple of little runs late. Now on to the big dog. OSU. The only team to come into our house and win... by a serious margin. They killed us. We sucked, worse than usual. Hopefully we can pull our shit together again and make a game out of this. My bold prediction ISU 75 OSU 65. We will do it again, trust me.

Elsewhere the last of the unbeatens has fallen... nice job by St. Joes to fold in the conference tourney... they were royally kicked in the nuts by Xavier... a team ISU beat this year. Way to step up and prove your number 1. They suck.

Anyway i need to get some work done so i can go a local bar, and belly up at noon to way the upset of the day! I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Late!

ISU

Im pumped... Iowa State plays K-state at 2 pm today... i will be sitting in my tiny little balmy office watching this game with great anticipation. We will break our road losing streak today. mark my words. technically its a neutral court but who cares... its not at home. Plus that fact that this should be a good game, k-state is a tough team but so are we .... at times. So mark it down ISU 65 KSU 60.

Pink eye update...

This shit sucks... i dont think i have gotten it... but my brain keeps saying dude... you have it... your eyes itch... your gonna get it... im a mental case thinking that im gonna get it.
The last time i got it it was bad... i had a scratched cornea also so it really got into my eye and i couldnt wear my contact for a year and a half... that really blows... but at least my daughter is getting over it... she actually was able to open her eyes this morning..

Conferences

I have to have 36 continuing education credits every 2 years to keep up my Landscape Architecture license. To get these i need to attend conferences that typically are boring as hell. Yesterday was one of them... luckily my kid got pink eye and got me out to the afternoon session...
I sat through 2 speakers in the morning, one was great the other put me to sleep... typical of these things.

So i am back to work and facing a pile of shit that accumlated on my desk in a single day... i love it!

Socially acceptable?

Is shitting your pants only socially acceptable when you really young or really old? My daughter had the monster of all shits last nigh, out the top of the diaper, halfway up her back and through the pjs.... didnt even seem to care! It was one of the worst smells that i have ever encountered... probably only outdone by a extremely rotten catfish that weighed at least 25 pounds... maybe it was the maggots that made that bad.

Anyway pretty everyone has shit their pants at one time... you just dont talk about it. Im just curious why this is... is it because everyone will make fun of you if you have a fart thats just a little wet... must be.

March Madness

Its that time of year when the sports world comes to a screeching halt...at least in my opinion. College basketball is almost over leaving a giant void of sportslessness (is that a word?) in my life... I will have to suffer through baseball season and the end of the NBA with a little golf thrown in to keep me sane. Then it will be football season again... Ah, I cant wait for those glorious days to once again arrive.

I really wish I cared about baseball, just a little. I like to play and watch it in person with a large $8 dollar beer in my hand, but other than that it really has no interest for me. Maybe I need to delve into the fantasy baseball world, except I don't know if enough people would be interested in starting a league... Oh well.

In a few short weeks the NCAA tournament will start up, and I will be totally sucked into watching games were 2 teams who I don't even care about are playing... I will sit on the edge of my seat cheering for some scrub to make a shot so I can get the points in my pool and get a little closer to the money at the end of the tunnel. Next to the Super Bowl the tournament is about the best sporting event ever.

PS. If anyone is interested in an NCAA pool let me know... We have one going... The more the merrier.
