High School Girls

You asked and you shall receive....

As i mentioned earlier i was at Hooters and there were a ton of high school kids there. Now the girls these days dont dress or look quite like they did when i was a high schooler... the fashions are all about tight pants and shirts, and showing lots of skin... not bad if you a high school boy. Grunge was in when i was younger... baggy pants and flannel... what a jip... all the chicks wore lots of clothes and covered every inch of there bodies... and if you go back a little farther it was the baggy sweatshirts, but there was tight pants under those...

I can only hope that as a father of a little girl that the fashions will come full circle and the grunge or baggy sweatshirts will come back into style so that i wont have to eat handfulls of antacid everyday when my daughter leaves for school wearing nothing but a bikini beacause that is what is in style...

Hooters

As i get older the mornings after a night at Hooters get harder.... I dont feel horrible, just a little off. I went and spent a good 3 1/2 hours eating wings and drinking beer, and checking out the talent. Its been awhile since I have been there but I was impressed. Plus the fact that state wrestling is in town so there were a ton of high school kids there... I did notice that they seem to be building high school girls a little different than when I was there... bastards. Anyway im going to try and struggle through my with the fog of beer lingering in my mind...

Dateline: Oelwein

Im watching the news last night just before I went to sleep and they have a story on the town of Oelwein...who cares you say... but i know that a few of my readers grew up there and I have had the pleasure of downing more that my share of booze there. The Oelwein police department has started to post pictures of people that are arrested for drug offenses on their web site and the say that they may post pictures of anyone arrested. So if you back in the Ween you might not wanna get busted for dope or your gonna end up on the web!

Here is the link for Haws... sorry I couldnt find it before!

Daddy Day Care

My wife left town on Sunday for a lovely 4 day trip to Orlando for work... not a bad gig if you can get it. So that leaves me at home with the dog and my 1 year old daughter. Dont get me wrong... Im loving the time I have to spend with my little girl... she has become a little mommas girl as of late so it gives me time to bond with dad, but holy shit... its crazy how ragged Ive become in just a few days.

I work so she goes to day care in the day, and then we are home at night... Shes pretty much perpetual motion from the time we walk in the door until its time for bed. She has been walking for a couple of months and wants to get into everything and anything. Then if you take away something that she isnt supposed to have she screams... awesome! I have a totally new view of what it would be like to be a single parent, it would suck! Simply from the fact that you have no time to yourself until the kid goes to bed. Oh well, only a another day until mom gets home...

Im sure that some of you follow sports, unless your gay like Robby, but did anyone see the great Cyclone-Kansas game on saturday, and more specifically the way the clones got jobbed by the refs... what the fuck were these guys thinking on the 2 shot free throw were kansas took the ball after the first shot and went down and shot a 3 pointer... and the points counted... note to the refs- you guys get paid to know what the fuck your doing and that is basic basketball rules... you need to just quit for being jackasses...

Go Clones, if they win out they have a chance to make it to the big dance!

Long time coming!

Yes i havent posted anything in awhile... ive been busy. Plus im lazy, unmotivated and not much is new. Im still a little pissed at the way the cyclones play, but im kind of getting used to it. IF we can win a road game and win out at home we MAY get into the tournament... if not NIT here we come... although i can live with that if we can pull out a win or 2. We werent supposed to do anything at all this year and have beaten Kansas and Texas... Yippie!

Its finally warming up, which in turn is getting my itch for golf going again. I love the game... a lot. I wish i could play everyday. Im not bad, and with more play i could be really good, if i dont say so myself, but the whole time and money thing always cuts into that. I get to play once a week, maybe twice and hopefully more this year... we will see. So look for me on the tour next year playing next to Daly... just a couple of fat guys who like booze and chicks..

Heres to rednecks who have great game!

Nothing ever happens in my life!

I have been a little lax in my posting. It all stems from the fact that really nothing super exciting happens in my life. I guess I just need to learn from Master Goose and learn to talk about the inane stuff that happens every day and make it interesting.

Well, since the last post on Wedensday, I went to work on Thursday. It snowed. A lot. I stayed late to "let the crazy drivers get off the roads" which is code for drinking beer with my coworkers. I have a pretty sweet gig. Im expected to do quite a bit of work, but when the work is done there is no shortage for downing a couple of pops, or 40.
I had a project due on Friday. I got up early, 5:00 AM sucks ass by the way. I finished up my shit, and came home around noon to spend the rest of the day with the 2 lovely ladies in my life. My daughter turned 1 so we took her shopping. I can't believe the amount of money we spend at Target every damn week. I have been there 3 times in 4 days and spent a shit ton of money. My in-laws came down on friday afternoon. I know a lot of people that dont like the in-laws but I feel lucky. Mine are pretty cool. They like to go and do stuff, and my father-in-law likes beer, alot. So we went to dinner, drank beer, and played some video games to win shit for the b-day girl!
Saturday was the official party... Nothing like have almost 40 people come to your house when its 10 degrees outside. Not really any place for them to go, but it was cool. I got to see some friends i havent seen in awhile. Oh yea... the fucking Cyclones lost again. Gillian got a bunch more toys, most that made a bunch of noise, and i drank some beer.
I just realized that i was on almost a 3 day mini bender of sorts, very nice.... havent really done that since college... i dont feel as old now :)
Sunday. Well you have to go to breakfast when family is in town and what better place to go than the bitching kitchen (aka Country Kitchen). I personally wouldnt have choosen it being that i used to work at one so the memories of how things are done still haunt my dreams, but it wasnt my choice. The food was decent when we finally got it. I wasnt about to eat the shitty buffet they have. The family left, breakfast didnt settle too well so i spent some time with the toilet. I went to Target again.
Monday, we had to take the little monkey for her 1 year check up and shots... that was sweet... my daughter will be a midget like my wife, she is small. Its really amazing how when you get to work at like 10:30 the day really flies. I had some stuff to due today, nothing super important so we drank a couple of beers at the end of the day.

Now here i am updating my blog with the facts of my life. Nothing ever seems to happen.

Agony of defeat!

I just finished up watching the debacle that waws the ISU-OU basketball game... what the fuck is with the clones. Ok, I admit, that some of you reading really dont know or really care, but dammit it is driving me nuts. We are undefeated at home with big wins of Xavier, Iowa, and Kansas, but if you put this team on the choke like a whore giving Ron Jeremy head. I realize that this year was supposed to somewhat of a
loss.
We brought in a new coach and are playing true freshman, but we got off to such a good start that the fact that we havent one on the road in conference for 20 straight games... what a fucking joke, we lost to Baylor for christs sake. They were killing each other down in waco over the summer.

Ok, enough of my venting. I have been busy as hell at work, which is good, but not so much for blogging. I haven't been really motivated about anything at all. I think that Im kinda falling into that slump that Robby was talking about. It should all look up this weekened. My awesome little girl turns 1. YEAA! Since this is her first b-day you have to put on the whole show and we are no exception. We have like 40 people coming over and it will be a crowded mess, but at least I get to see some friends and family that I havent seen in awhile. It should be a helluva good time. I mean really, you take birthday cake, add a little beer and some good friends. What can go wrong.

Im gonna do some surfing now... later all and have a good weekend if I neglect to get some more blogging done before then

Super Bowl

Im sure im like almost every other blogger who watches and enjoys sports. The Super Bowl turned out to be one hell of a game, except for the fact that it came down to a kicker winning the and losing the game... fucking kickers. First, I hope that John Kasay gets his ass fired, he only cost his team the Super Bowl. How the hell do you kick it out bounds in that situation... what a fucking dick. Second, mad props to Vinatieri... 2 Super Bowls and 2 game winning kicks. This guy should be getting more puss that he can shake a stick at. Im not a big fan of kickers, but it seems when the pressure is on this guy is nails.

Its snowing again. I cant believe the amount of snow we have been getting lately, its crazy, but i guess that is the price for living in the midwest. One year you get like 1 big snow and the next it snows like a bastard... oh well, it doesnt depress me or anything i just kinda want it to be spring since i cant do any of the fun shit you do in the winter.

I should probably get some work done, so for now im out!

Tax update

The tax man was gentle lover... this year he didnt just shove it in repeatedly and take me to the cleaners, leaving me sobbing on the floor, huddled in the corner, feeling sorry for myself.

We actually are going to get some of our money back! Its like Christmas all over again.

Guess what... its going to snow again... this has been one the snowiest beginnings of the year ever... at least in my mind. You gotta love it.

I need to go watch Sesame Street.

Oh yea... Haws, I didnt forget were some extra tax relief is coming from... go Dean... that guy rules!
