Holy buckets of snow Batman!

Well unlike Jethro and Zelda down in Houston, we here in Iowa get snow... and last night and today we will be getting lots of it. We have like 5" already and its supposed to snow today and tonight adding up to another 12". WEEEEEEE! Dont get me wrong, I like the snow and its nice to see, but fuck. I HATE SHOVELING!. So at least my little monkey will get to play in it and enjoy it, so at least i have that going for me.

On other fronts, I have mentioned before that i have a really close friend who is in the Navy serving our country on the U.S.S. Lincoln. Now if you havent heard that is the carrier that was sent to provide aid to the tsunami stricken countries. He has been kindly enough to pass along some pictures that were taken from the choppers that are delivering supplies so i thought that i would post them so you could take in the devastation. Its heartbreaking to see the destruction.

It just goes to show that no matter how powerful, rich, strong, or whatever that mother nature still is in control, and when she is PMS'ing it gets ugly in a hurry.
